A lazy Sunday
We awoke on Sunday not wanting to do much so we wandered down into Barceloneta. Barceloneta is the old fishing quarter and old port of the city and most importantly the closest beach that people escape to in the summer. Before ‘92 the city always had its back to the sea and it wasn’t until the revitalization for the Olympics that Barcelona began taking full advantage of the waterfront they had always had. Now the city embraces the water and its beaches and sees it for much more than the historical economic reasons.
Anyway…it seems that anytime we just stroll around we seem to stumble upon a parade, and this day was no different. We followed some music and arrivedĀ upon a small caravan of paraders dancing to the tunes of the Village Peeps. Dressed in the typical police, indian, mechanic, and sailor outfits the rainbow friendly line danced up a storm. Quite literally too, it soon clouded over and the rain came down. Not before we took some snaps of the chopper tho! Now that’s a bike!
We retreated to a cafe, sipped on strong coffees and wrote some postcards from the edge of the Med.

Cool bike! I added the feed for your flickr photos to my sidebar so we can see what you’re posting. Keep’m coming!
Great photos, by the way
