We finally had a few days to dedicate ONLY to kiteboarding, and headed to Sant Pere Pescador on the Costa Brava to check it out. We stayed in a cute little bungalow which fit our needs perfectly and was literally 10 steps to the huge beach where kites could be launched. Kalan could not have found a more perfect location and unit!

The weather on the first day was perfect for kiting, good wind and sunny. Kal set out to do his kiting thing. He looked so great for the first few minutes, then a big gust of wind blew and he wiped out. Normally this wouldn’t have been a problem since his board is connected to him via a leash, but the leash broke and he lost his board. We spent the next three hours walking up and down the beach looking for the board, but no luck. It was sad, but at least Kal was fine and not hurt.

As luck wouldn’t have it, the wind over the next couple of days was not good for kiting, just a little dry-land training at best. We capitalized on this by exploring the area with our rental car, and enjoying being out of the city. I felt so relaxed here, and wanted to stay longer! Hopefully we will be able to return for a week in August.
