Well we are back on the European continent after spending a blazingly quick 10 days in Vancouver with family and friends. It was great seeing everyone again and if we learned anything from this quick trip back home it was the realization of how much we miss our friends and family AND summer be dammed, it will rain in Vancouver whenever it wants to! Thanks for the get-to-together at house Shimi.

So here we are in Bodrum, Turkey after spending 2 nights in Istanbul. Istanbul was great, we went on a tour of the Bosphorous that zipped us across to the Asian side and then back again to the European side. Both of which showcase the areas rich history and some of the most incredible waterfront properties we have ever seen, which reportedly go anywhere from $10 mill for a fixer-upper to $100 mill for the cats ass.

Here in Bodrum it hit 49 degrees. The locals are sweating like Michael Jackson at an all boy daycare facility. We didn’t really feel the heat cause the 22m yacht we managed to get on kept serving up cold beer, Raki, and champagne, and when it felt a little too much to handle we just jumped in the water and cooled down. We really lucked out in getting on this yacht and you would be amazed at how 9 hours of sun, beer, and dips in the Aegean can tire you out. We shared the boat with 2 families from Belgium who kept us laughing and entertained. (Now we have to visit Belgium! Woohoo!)

Tomorrow we are off to a more secluded spot on the other side of the Bodrum peninsula and then off to Santorini to see the sunset.
